i bought a 700 adl synthetic a few years back at a gunshop and paid around 350.but i traded in four old guns towards it.therefor i'm sure they jacked the price alittle and then deducted for the trade ins.with this in mind i,ll have to agree with diyj98 on this one, good but not great price.none the less, the 700 adl is a great rifle for the money but you will need to have the trigger worked, way to much travel.mine was factory set at a little over 5 pounds, had it droped to 3 and had all the travel removed.its real nice now.

that is about a average for a rem 700 ADL. i bought one brand new from walmart about 5-6 years ago and it cost me $395.00.
as long as it shoots good i think it is a good deal.

I've got an old 700 adl in .270 with synthetic stock. The only thing i didn't like was the trigger pull and the safety. I think there is a problem with the safety, it's hard as hell to get off safety. It's killed a lot of deer.

bflem55 what do you mean it doesnt have the same trigger as a bdl? they all have the same trigger. my sons adl has the same trigger as my bdl's and dm's. i have seen a lot of remingtons and never noticed a different trigger on 700's . other than a shilen or timney.
Have you taken it out of the stock? if so did you see two screws on the front of the trigger housing? theres your adjustment screws. they will have a protective clear coating on them.
now if you want to adjust it that is a different story.
oh yeah it was worth what you paid just for the reciever.IF and a big IF it is not one of the new iss locking systems.
