DOES THE BRAND OF SCOPE MOUNTS MATTER

RE: DOES THE BRAND OF SCOPE MOUNTS MATTER
I like Burris or Leupold. When used with a quality scope, your rifle will remain on target. I've had trouble with Weaver mounts on my 30-30, so I don't use them anymore.

RE: DOES THE BRAND OF SCOPE MOUNTS MATTER
Thanks for the advice i think i am gonna go with burris mounts because i am getting a new burris scope. Leupold and burris have almost the same mounting system so i am good either way. Thanks alot

The scope mounts are just as important as the scope and gun. Pick out the style you like & get the best you can afford. I once paid $300 for a set of Badger Ordinance mounts for my 700P. For hunting I like the Leupold QRW bases w/ PRW rings as a matter of fact I will be ordering another set in the next few day.

I use nothing but Millet windage adjustable rings and Weaver style bases. Being a former gun store owner and hunting guide I have mounted at least 200 scopes with Weaver bases. Still waiting for my first problem with them. This includes many big magnum rifles.

I've used both Weaver rings/bases, Leupold standard bases (one and two piece) and rings, and the Ruger rings. The Rugers are the easiest to mount, and I had great luck with accuracy. For non-Ruger guns I definately prefer the Leupold standard style rings and bases. They have never let me down.
