Top 50 guns ever made

RE: Top 50 guns ever made
Drift you gotta come up with a new #2. The 1911 fits in your own #1 category!
It's hard to come up with a list like this when you can only mention John Browning's designs once...he was just that good!
If I were to replace #2 I'd have to go with the Remington M700. Naw, on second thought I'll stick with the 1911A1!

Rem. 700 and the 870 shotgun sure belong, and glad to see I own at least two
But, I think the list should be expanded some to include the Ruger 77 rifle, and the
Ruger Blackhawk revolver lines. Also the Marlin 336. Maybe they're on the rest of the list.[:-]

RE: Top 50 guns ever made
The fella that wrote the article stated the limits of those guns were chosen as weapons used for hunting. He exempted pistols and rifles used for military purposes unless they were also applied to hunting. While I agree the 1911 and so forth are exceptional firearms they fall outside the range of "typical" hunting weapons. He also clearly stated...the article reflected his opinion alone.
