Yeah, just checked my serial numbers and mine is one of them. Odd because mines a .30-06 and I thought they only recalled the magnum calibers. Oh well, looks like it'll be a while before I'll be shooting it again. Anyone have an idea of how I go about getting this taken care of? Do I just go to a registered Beretta dealer and have them send it in? Sure does suck.

I can bet that years from now because of this wonderful internet there will still be stories about this. I am pretty sure that Beretta has taken care of the problem as such. I am pretty sure they will never attempt to speed up delivery of guns by taking shortcuts on forging and probably never will. I think they could have been a little more forthright in disclosing this mess and probably wish they had as well. All in All and I have said this many times before it would never stop me from buying another Sako and I have had a few of them.

shhhhhhhh oeh, now you know EVERY single Sako is a problematic, about to blow POS!!!
They are simply not worth the concern. OEH and I will hereby "take one for the team" and will gladly buy ALL of these dangerous POS from each BBS member. We will pay $100 for each of them + S&H. Its the least we can do for "fellow shooters". Do NOT shoot your Sako, no matter how old it is. Remember each shot is another notch closer to DISASTER!!!
I'm goin to SHOT next month, I'm sure Beretta will withdraw those dangerous Sako's from their booth. I wouldnt even want to be in the same building with one of them!
