Default Factory Ballistic Tip loads

What's the best factory load with a Ballistic Tip for a .270? I've only shot Winchester supreme ballistic tips thus far. How are the Hornady's, Federal's, etc.?

I have shot the 115 gr Balistic tips from federal in my 25-06.They work good, but I like my bullets to go thru,so I shoot Noslers.
I was not inpressed with the Winchester 115 gr Silver tips.

I also shot 200 gr Nosler Balistic tips in my 338 win mag and they work well for deer.

I don't use my 270 as much as I once did but the absolute best deer load for my rifle both in terms of accuracy and performace is Federal 130gr Nosler BT load.

I really like the BT type bullets for all my deer hunting, regardless of caliber, so I might be alittle bias.

I used the Hornady loaded SST's this year in my .308. I liked them they dropped two deer very quickly. Though I do plan on trying some other bullets during the off months via reloading, I would not hesitate to use the SST's again.

The one that shoots the best should answer your question. Any will get the job done on a deer but the rifle should be the decision maker on which shell to load come season. If all equal flip a coin!

If your looking for different outcomes (ie not happy with the performance of Win SBT, than try a different style bullet altogether..as the others mentioned are very closely designed).

Just got back from the woods, another buck dropped AND YES I SAID DROPPED in his tracks with Winchester 115 gr Silertips in my 25-06!! Man I love these bullets, oh and just to add, entrance hole was exact bullet size, and exit hole I could just barely get my pinky finger in.

I have shot Reminton premier ballistic tips in my 3006 and love em. The deer just give up after taking one of em.

My Remington 700.....243 likes the Federal Premiums 70 gr Noslers. It handles the Hornady 58 gr too, but the 70 gr bucks the wind a little better. I use the 70's for deer too, drops them in their tracks.
