I've always either used buckshot or used a slug barrel with the open sites. Well i'm purchasing a slug barrel with scope mounts for another one of my guns. I never have had a scope on a shotgun. I'm looking for a good, not overly expensive scope. Also, what is the best size of the scope to get...4x, 1.5-5x, etc. What about the "field of view"?

I would really appreciate any info and help i can get.

I put a Simmons Prodiamond 2X32 on my turkey gun and could not be happier. I guess it depends what you are going to be using it for. I did not want anything over 2X for turkeys.
