RE: New WSM
.325, eh
.323 is 8mm
Remington came out with the 8mmRemMag and it failed miserably (sales wise) largely due to a poor selection of bullets for 8mm and its close competition to the 338WinMag (.338 [and .308] has a w-i-d-e abundance of bullet offerings).
I'd venture to say that the 325WSM's fate will also be largely tied to bullet selection/availability.

I would be suprised if that one gets off the ground. Another perfect answer to a problem that does not exist. But the I have been wrong before. I quess I don't see a nich that needs to be filled in that range. Maybe the short mag concept will carry it through. More power to them. Anything that sells more guns is good for our side.

RE: New WSM
Winchester tried the .338 WSM, but found that it could not reach the potential on the .338 Win. Mag. Craig Boddington had a rifle built for the .338 WSM and found the same thing. That is why they went with the .323/8mm (.325 WSM)
I know that if they release it in a left handed model, I will get one. I'm very interested in trying it.

RE: New WSM
This one does not sound like a winner but I will reserve judgement when I see some actual ballistics on it. I have a custom shop model 7 in .350 rem mag that pounds out 225 partitions at 2690 fps. Doubt if I will replace it with this new WSM.
