Default Savage chambering problems

Anyone experience a problem with a savage not properly chambering a round from the clip magazine.
Mine seems to make the first round from the mag jam into the chamber with a severe angle and often the round wont chamber at all.

What model Savage? I have the 93 in 17HMR and the one thing I don't like about it is if the magazine isn't just so it won't feed properly. You really have to make sure it is all the way into the gun and seated firmly.

It is a package gun Model 111FCXP3 in 270 win.
The gun really shoots great and I would really like to address the chambering problem. Any suggestions before I take it to my gunsmith?

In my experience, the savage bolt actions don't feed well if worked slowly. Run it with authority and it should feed. If not you do have a problem.
