Darn Buckmaster229,what did that coke bottle ever do to you?[]
After you kill 'em, do you skin 'em and eat 'em?

A few years ago my grandpa got an old Springfield 03A3 from a friend of his who passed away, and after cleaning it thoroughly, he mounted to a bench to test fire from a distance. He attached a cord to the trigger, chambered a round, and took some cover behind a tree. He pulled the cord, the rifle fired, and the target (a one gallon plastic vinegar bottle full of water) shot about 20' straight into the air, spewing water.

We went up to take a look, and the entire rear bottom half was literally shredded away. The plastic had melted so that little hair-like strings hung from the edges. I believe he was using 180 gr. soft-points, as he was out of 147 gr. ball. I wish I had a video camera at the time.

Did the same thing with my .300 Wby a while back. The distance was about 75 yards and there was practically nothing left of the bottle.
