3D...I told you I shot my buddies 300RUM. It was also a 700LSS. He was shooting the 180 Rem Sciroco's. The accuracy was damn near perfect. He said they're coming out with a 150 Sciroco for the 300RUM. He was going to get those for deer in Virginia.

RE: 300 ultra mag load
I've had good results with 89.0g RL22, Fed 215M primers, Nosler 180g Partitions, seated .020" from the lands. Velocity was 3230fps, groups under 1/2 MOA at 100yrds. I've got some 180g Partition Gold "molly free" which I'll be working with next-hope their as accurate as the original Partitions!

RE: 300 ultra mag load
3DNWV, I was getting 3300FPS. Freinds are getting crazy speeds with Norma MRP and Rel 22.
Last weekend at the range, a buddy was using 95.5gr Norma MRP, 215m prim, and getting 3550fps using 180gr scirr. with .90 groups at 200yds. I told him he sucks. My rifle hates the Scirrocos, and thats the bullet I want to work the most for my moose trips. Watch out with Scirrocos, they build more pressure than your partitions, GS, and such. He, nor I ever saw pressure signs with Noslers, or Speers all the way up past max load, but I saw them with Scirrocos, up to 95.5g of H1000.
As far as this being a deer bullet, I have seen small exit holes in 90lb doe with scirroccos but major damage when the shot was not broadside (thru the chest and out the ham) Seems these bullets take a little bit of meat to expand.
