Looking for opinions!!
I am considering the purchase of a snub .44 Special and have narrowed my choices down to either a Charter 2000 Bulldog or Taurus. The Bulldog is somewhat cheaper but haven't handled one yet. Taurus has a ported barrel that should be easier on my arthritic hands but read conflicting reports on Taurus with quality control issues.
Will be visiting a dealer in a couple of weeks to see both and would like to hear about any opinions based on personal experiences with these two revolvers. Don't tell me to buy Smith & Wesson as their prices are way high for my intended uses which is concealed carry and a companion while walking in woods. Any help would be appreciated.

RE: Looking for opinions!!
Go with the Taurus.
They bought out the old S&W Pat. Years ago. (least that is wwhat I have heard anyway)
For the money I think that they are well worth the price.
Just my thoughts though.

Taurus is easily my choice over the old Charter Arms dog. How can you go wrong with the lifetime warranty that Taurus offers along with the built in safety lock? Does the dog even have a warranty? .44 spec is one of the most overlooked carry rounds.
