Default Encore rifle or pistol frame?

What is the difference between the Encore Rifle and Pistol frame? Is it possible to jus put a differant grip and shorter barrel on the rifle to make it a pistol? Living here in Iowa, rifles are not legal but straight walled pistols are. I believe IDNR lists the 444 Marlin and the 45-70 as legal calibers. Whats your opinion.

Default RE: Encore rifle or pistol frame?

Sorry! A call to my local gunshop answered this question for me. Yep, one frame = rifle or pistol or shotgun.

The kind folks are here to lead me back to the Asylum, so I better go if I want dessert.[&o]
