NEF Handi Rifle
I have an NEF Handi Rifle (.22 Hornet) and want to put a scope on it and use it for varmits. I would be shooting no more than 150 yards. Any suggestions on scopes, bases, and such? Also is this a very accurate weapon?

RE: NEF Handi Rifle
I'd put a Leopold VX I 3-9x or maybe a Bushnell 3200 3-9X on it.
As far as accuracy goes, I've heard that the Handi-rifles are fairly accurate. Some here have said that they've been able to shoot sub-MOA groups with theirs, which is very good for a $200 rifle.
The best way to find out is to shoot your rifle. Try a few different loads and see what it likes the best.

RE: NEF Handi Rifle
I have a Handi-Rifle in .223. I floated the barrel and lightened the trigger. (Actually I sent it back and they did it for $20)
I also found that Black Hills .223 55gr V-Max's were the ticket for my particular gun.
This resulted in consistent 1" groups at 100yds from a bench. Not bad....

I also have a 223 NEF. I have a 6X bushnell scope on it. It will shoot 3/4 inch groups with the cheap winchester varmit loads with the 40 grain Hornady BT. Never had a 22 Hornet in the NEF.
