My brother has a 30-378,wasn't all that accurate,now it sits in the closet drawing dust. If I were you I'd go back with the 300Weatherby or the 300RUM. I have a 300 weatherby and wouldn't part with it and its alot more accurate than my brothers 30-378 and much more pleasant to shoot. Had mine magna-ported so recoil isn't much different than my 270 and muzzle blast isn't like some breaks. Zeak
