NEW GUN WOES
Well that shotgun/blackpowder scope packed it in on my 7mm-08 rifle. I shot a whole box after it seemed to be close to zero last Friday and after the whole box 2 days ago, I could not make it zero. It looked like shotgun splatter. I was extremely upset, somewhat thinking it was or could be the gun to. That was bothersome. OUt of disgust I went home and didn't say much and in the evening my wife said, " come on lets go out and get you a new good scope for that rifle." I was shocked that she said that. I went and while I was looking at a Nikon Pro Staff scope she ask to see the Leupold, I looked at her real shocked like and told her the Nikon was a good scope and cost less than the Leupold. She tells the guy behind the counter, " im pretty sure this is the one he wants, holding that Leupold." I said honey I have not ever had a Leupold and this one (Nikon) will be fine. Then she saids, " this is the one Im getting him anyway, and she purchases the Leupold 3x9x40 Rifleman. Then told me to get the rings." I got the Leupold Rings for it and we were gone. I was amazed at the eye relief and clearness of the scope. My wife shocked me to death with all of this. I am very thankful to her for caring for me that much. I told her a Leupold to me was like a diamond to her.
I mounted it that night. Went yesterday to sight in. Never bore sighted it and the first 2 shots hit the bullseye at 25 yards. Moved out to 100 yards and begin to fire. Shot a 4 shot group in the bullseys at 100. Shot the 200 yard target . it was about size of a paper plate. I shot it 5 times and hit it 4 out of the 5 shots. I felt pretty good about it all considering this was first time shooting this setup and still getting use to this new gun. Man how things have changed since 3 days ago. Thank you to my wife for that Leupold. IT performed just as their reputation saids that they should. Thanks Leupold.
P.S. We have been married for 10 years and have a little girl and a little boy. Man these kind of blessings and surprises don't happen to just anybody.

Good deal...
Good glass pays for itself. I have a Trashco on my 17HMR...and it's not long for this world. It came on the gun for essentially nothing, and I may mount it on a pellet rifle.
