#1 browning BPR in 270win
#2 rem 7600 in 35rem
#3 sako lightweight in 270win or tikka

1. Remington 26" RemChoke/Light Contour 12 ga. replacement bbl (to drop into my 870 for turkey this spring)
2. Ruger GP-100 .357 Mag, Stainless w/ 6" bbl (mainly for defense/target shooting, but maybe for deer)
3. Cabela's Kentucky Rifle .54, flintlock (for deer)
4. Remington 700 ADL .270 (wife's deer rifle)

I'd like a SIG P229 .40S&W and a Springfield M1A, but I'll have to win the lottery in order to afford those this year.

I don't know about actual firearms I'd like to try a Tikka or NEF in 223 we'll see what the pocket book says after taxes.
As far as bbls for my contender go....
22 Hornet
38/40
'something' in a 25 cal
and a 20" 38-55
What I'd really like right now is the time and a bit of nice weather so i can go to the range and finish testing the bbls I have.
Plus I have a 257 Bob thats just begging to have a load worked up for it.
Oh Well, it's what I live for so....

I want to find a used 8mm Remington mag or 7mm-STW. I will take this rifle & turn it into a 358-STA.
I might also buy a Thompson Center encore???

Well, the first gun I want next year is to be either a Savage or a Mauser turned into a .257 Roberts. Then is a S&W stubby .357 for when I turn 21 for carrying concealed (with a permit). Then a Ruger Single Six .22, then a Marlin 336 .35 Rem., then a Savage 116 .338 WM. That is my list to knock out plus whatever good deals I come across. Not sure how long that will take.

Savage varminter 223 rem or 22-250 rem

Heard such great things about the savages from some of the dedicated savage owners on here i think there worth a look. Im sure theres a few more ive looked at but cant think of atm.

My advice is to move the Tikka (T3) to the top or nearer the top of your list. Once you take one out and handle it, see the fine design in all the details, feel/hear the precision in the bolt and squeeze off a few groupings of 3 under 1" at 100+ yards, you won't be disappointed. I guarantee!

I bought my first Tikka T3 .300 for Elk hunting this fall. It performed wonderfully and I brought home a nice Elk.

I'm seriously thinking of trading in a Rem 7400 .30-06 I haven't used for several years to get another T3, possibly a 270 for whitetails in northern Minnesota.

wolfkiller..

try this website... www.kittrytradingpost.com

they have all kinds of guns an in differant calibers. look on the side left scroll bar for " used guns " they change every day. they have several 7nn STW's also [email protected] he will hold a gun you are looking for up to two weeks i believe and there gun laws in maine are not that strcit like other states.
the 358STW sounds like a real nice little shooter
