Winchester M-94 big bore in 375 win. ?'s
Anyone own one of these rifles, if so how does it shoot, what do you use it for, and is this rifle still made? I'd like to find one any suggestions? Thanks.

I had one that I am still kicking myself for getting rid of. To my knowledge they are no longer made. The cartridge didn't really catch on as intended which is a shame since it is a fine cartridge for deer, hogs and maybe short range elk. I always wanted a single-shot rifle so I could play with different bullet configurations. If I knew where to get a barrel in 375 Win for my H&R I would get one, but it would have to be a custom job. Maybe I will just look for another lever gun.

The model 94 Winchester Big Bore in .375 is no longer made...it's history...it's crying out from the hollow halls of Winchester's sacred archives! It is a great cartridge for it's intended purpose; close range medium big game hunting (hogs, bear, deer, elk, moose.) The ammo is still available for around $23 dollars a box. I have a friend who likes the .375 Big Bore so well that he owns TWO of them, and they are in excellent to mint condition. They tend to cost $350-$450 when you can find one, and finding them is becoming VERY difficult. Does anyone know if they are so rare that they have some collector's value?
