So I went to a banquet and brought home a new gun...
But now I have to decide what to do. I won a Baikel Russian made Autoloader in 12ga. It has absolutely beautiful wood by the wood to mettle fit is terrible. Their is at least 1/16" overlap of the wood from the stock to the reciever. It shoots 3 1/2 inchers which is something I currently do not have in a shotgun. I do currently have 3 - 12 ga' s one o/u, one pump and one auto. I don' t do alot of duck or goose hunting, but I enjoy it.......
.......I had a Savage 22-250 in there package gun which I liked ok, but not an exceptional shooter......but I traded it a while ago. Anyway, the local gun store has a new savage with the accu-trigger and heavy fluted barrel synthetic stock. I haven' t shot the accu-trigger yet, but I have drifired a couple and love the feel. I have a .223 NEf single shot, but don' t currently have the 22-250. I am more likely to do some serious prairie dogging and coyotin' than to go goose hunting. So I' m leaning heavy to the Savage......
.........But then I really want a 17hmr..................
So what to do, what to do?
P.S. I reload and have dies for the 22-250. I reload and shoot a lot of Trap and S.C.' s, but do not reload 3" or 3.5" .
