RE: Finally joined the NRA....
The only reason I thought it may affect future employment opportunities was because I am going into politics, and, although I would LOVE to waor for the NRA, if I ended up working for a legislator or another elected official, I wasn' t sure how me being a member of the NRA would bode if there was dirt digging going on. Seems like that is all politics is anymore, but thats another conversation. I am so excited and proud to be a part of the NRA, thanks for the congrats fellas!

BigBore,
I' m 29 and I joined about 2 months ago. It feels good slapping that small, round sticker on your vehicle to show what you believe in. Plus, it' s good to know that your $35 is being put to good use supporting something that is important to all of us and to our country.

Thanks F4YG,I know you and I think alike on these gun issues and the NRA.Sounds like if BigBore gets into politics he' ll be fighting for us.It makes me feel good to hear young people following in our footsteps.I' ve been and NRA Member since the early seventies, Life Member since 1977 and became a Endowment Member a few months ago. In todays world with so many politicians and ignorant people trying to disarm America we all need somebody to help fight for our cause. The NRA has been fighting for our rights for years and will continue to. They can' t do it by themselves. They need all our help. Even if it' s something small.Every little bit helps.
F4YG Old Buddy you can speak for me anytime also.I guess two great minds think alike LOL.
JimboHunter Thank you also for joining the cause.Great to have another NRA Member aboard. Sign your friends up. Remember we' re all fighting for the same thing. Our Rights and Freedoms.

Ruger,
My brother-in-law began hunting 4 years ago and when he learned that I joined the NRA, his first reaction was that the NRA was too extreme. After a 3 minute conversation with him, I talked to him about the reasons why the NRA is the reason that either of us can exercise our right to own guns (and hunt deer) and therefore convinced him why he too, should be a member. I think he' ll be joining soon too... For anyone who truly understands the big picture, it' s a no brainer.
