Herter' s Mark U9 7mm Magnum
OK, guys... I' ve posted this on 2 other sites, and only received 3 or 4 replies (all of them very positive) Assuming the rifle is in good shape, and hasn' t had a zillion rounds through it - is this a good deal? Who can tell me more about these rifles?
Herter' s 7MM Remington Magnum, Mark U9 Custom made barreled action, Deluxe Laminated Stock of Rock Maple and American Black Walnut with 1/8" laminations. Herter' s standard recoil eliminator (muzzle brake) and leather sling. Also includes Herter' s Model Hudson Bay Mark IV fixed 4X rifle scope. $250

If I wanted a utilitarian 7Mag, I' d buy that thing in a heartbeat.
It' ll shoot well and do the job for you every day. As I recall, it was built on a BSA action in the 60' s and 70' s and is a fine sporter.
