In trying to remove idiots from the gene pool that is. You have to look at this. Probably the utmost in stupidity.

Not very smart to say the least!
It's been said: "the Lord takes care of those that are too dumb to take care of themselves!"

have NO fear, the stupid breed faster than the educated,
so there will always be a excess of them, to do like dumb things
and YES that is both true and sadly the truth of things!!
Common sense is a rare trait today!

Good times.
Need some entertainment now and then.
Idiots can offer it.
I don't shoot the range unless nobody else is on it.......even if function testing an item I've repaired.
Been around the pubic too much.
ran a range and hundreds of shoots and worked a gun shop too

My best idiot moment was when a guy had a grenade launcher (40 mm)
and a round he got didn't fit, so he put it on the side
then later in the day, (I think a little drunk too)
he said to us all what's the worse that can happen and he forced it in

well, BOOB< she went off, and so did part of his hand!
and a ride to the ER was a rush deal!

sadly he never learned his lesson?
guess some just never will!
BUt yes 110% being about ranges long enough, and you will see a LOT of this things, believe it or not

Hate to say it but I have done two of the dumb things myself

one was shooting a shotgun at a range sighting in with slugs, and playing with different rifled choke tubes
was in middle of screwing in one tube and got pulled away to help some clients
then came back and forgot I didn't screw it in all the way, had about a 1/4 inch of treads left to screw in
first shot, hit a ft low?
was only bore sighted thru the bore, so thought OK< on paper any how, let the second shot go and missed the target??
(semi auto slug gun here)
dropped another round in and fired and missed again

OK, knew something was wrong??
looked at gun and end of barrel was bulged/swollen just below the choke treads
OOP"S
knew right off it was MY fault, darn memory??
but was glad all that happened was a ruined barrel
had Briley cut the barrel back and now its a short barrel ( at 18 inches)

My second OOP"s was witha Glock 17
and a bought out a custom ammo companys inventory, about 500,000 rounds of mixed ammo

had an indoor range and would kill time and shoot some

and the rounds seemed HOT, but there wasn't any info on them, as they had buckets of loos ammo, not packaged
so we shot that stuff up, as didn't feel good about selling it
about 500-600 rounds into the day with this HOT ammo
had a extra loud round go off and it blew a hole into the bottom of the frame and out the trigger guard
HUMM< that was a hot round

so, had me a broken Glock, was a Glock Gold stocking dealer, so contacted Glock, they had me send in the gun as they never seen one blow out as mine did
they removed my serial number off a First gen Glock and re installed it on a third gen frame for free and got me a brand new gun back LOL
Still have the gun now,
Last one
a Ruger .357 , shooting same ammo, buy a helper at the range(indoor) he fired 3 rounds before he realized they were NOT leaving the barrel?
had 3 lead wad cutters backed up in the bore!!
7 yards indoor and he didn't NOTICE nothing hitting the target??

we drilled them out and believe it or not gun was NOT damaged at all<
gun has seen a few thousand rounds since , Ruger over built some of its guns I think LOL

ended up talking to the ammo maker and he told us all the loose ammo was most likely over charged or DOUBLE charged loads, or very UNDER charged loads,
they would put aside in these buckets, and then pull heads as time allowed and make good again

guess we should have asked before we shot it up LOL
