You should check out the comments on the Gun Review forum. Personally, I think the 710 sucks.

Sorry for being short. The 700 in ADL or BDL is a great choice. The ADL models are a little cheaper along the lines of the 710. Remington makes a great gun, but they need to rethink the 597 and 710.

Thats my opinion. And yes, everyone has one.

Have a very hard look at Tikka and Howa before you buy.

You can get a better overall deal with a Savage. It is a much better rifle than the Remington 710 piece of junk.

Every single question on this forum has been asked three or four times! Don' t worry about it. As far as the 710 goes, they are not bad, but I would get a 700 ADL Synthetic. It' s a real nice gun with a great price tag. Other guns to look at in that price range would be the Savages, those are great shooters too. There is a stainless synthetic Savage at Sportsman' s Warehouse up here that might just be mine next weekend, it' s an 06. Ruger makes a fine rifle, my brother just recently bought a 22-250 model 77 and got a good deal. Left him with plenty of money for a good scope. So look around, check lots of stores, gives you a good excuse to go gun shopping! Sometimes you will find a hell of a deal where you least expect it. Someone on here last week got a new .338 with a Burris signature scope for like 469.00 dollars! Good luck, let us know how you do, and welcome aboard!

The Rem. 710 is a disposable gun, and sub-standard to say the least. Good luck.

The Remington 710 is the " Yugo" of Firearms. After looking at a couple of them told me I' ll never have one in my possession. There are so many better guns for about the same money or a few bucks more. Like mentioned check the Savage' s,Tikka' s and Ruger' s out.You might be surprised what you may find.If you' re set on a
Remington go with the Model 700...... ADL or BDL

Looked at a Tika yesterday, cant say I have ever cycled a smoother action. The bolt fit was so precise it had a whistle to it as you drew it back. Very simple, well engineered
