Thanks for the help guys. Been spending hours on a few national and local sites. Lots of choices for sure. If anyone else has any good lefty rifles I'd love to hear from you.

all my left hand centerfires are remington 700's or mauser actions, but they are all custom built. I use these actions because, they can be easily made to shoot well, most smiths like to work on them, and there are scads of aftermarket parts available.
I do have one old left handed rem. 788 in 6mm, its had some work done and shoots well but you can't hotrod it due to rear locking lug copression if shot over pressure.

I was looking at this one. Now who knows if I could afford a scope on top of college for the 2014 season.

Also for under 600 this looks like a good deal, no? Never though .300 would be so much cheaper than 270s are.

Being a fellow lefty and you will be using the rifle for deer and possibly moose the 30-06 will handle the job. Premium bullets for moose would be my recommendation. As for the rifle - if you're not inclined to go the custom route, you won't get none better than a Tikka T3 for the money spent. It has plenty of accuracy (3 shot @ MOA guaranteed) and an action that is slicker than snot on a door knob. I've owned leftys from Remington, browning, savage and the Tikka beats them all hands down with the Browning coming in a close second.

Would a Leupold VX-Hog 1-4x20mm Riflescope be a good scope? I know I din't buy a rifle yet but scope seems most important, and that is almost 50% off. I know absolutely nothing about scopes.

What about this one $400 orginaly 600

Also will these scopes fit a Tikka T3 or Remmington 700

I would buy a good solid 3x9x40 scope (like a Leupold VX2). That is the most popular power range for good reason.

Thank you. I looked around and found one this one on amazon for $300 regular $560. Was a VX2 so I got it.

It made me feel good about my self if anything then. I did notice other sites just said 300 and not regular 560 so not a complete surprise. Oh well good enough for me I think.

Well I'm going to go to Cabelas and see what they got for rifles.
