Far more likely to need it against fellow Americans than the Chinese.

Oh relax.
They will never get American troops or American police to raise arms against American citizens on American soil for the purpose of enforcing the will of the federal government.

Don't believe I said anything about "enforcing the will of the federal government". Living on the gulf coast of MS, it was only 75 miles away where during the aftermath of hurricane Katrina police were going to homes and disarming folks in New Orleans. Also, with almost 50% of the population relying on govt assistance to survive and a $16+ trillion debt, not gonna end good when the checks don't go out. You can live in denial if ya want, but never in history has a govt printed so much cash that it hasn't led to severe economic times.

A bit of a thread hijack:

...where during the aftermath of hurricane Katrina police were going to homes and disarming folks in New Orleans.
To this day I still do not understand by what authority the NO police had to disarm law abiding citizens who legally own and have legally purchased their firearms.

And like Flags said the Chinese will not be invading any time soon. But there are other ways to make war on a country: 9/11 demonstrated it.
