    Default Youth Savage Axis .243
    Bought my 7yr old the Savage Axis .243 and am going to put a Nikon Prostaff 3x9x40 on it.
    Wanting your opinion on mounts/rings.
    Don't want to have to spend $55 on them.
    Appreciate it.

    My opinion...Buying cheap rings is like buying cheap fishing line...

    I typically use Leupold but have had good luck with Weavers, Milletts and DedNutz as well...

    Millet, Warne, Lupy, Red Field, Dead Nutz....Weaver's if ya have to (buy the steel, not aluminum ones though)

    Went with the DNZ Dead Nutz.
    Looked at 100's of them this week and these looked like the best quality.
    Ended up paying about $50
