Default savage bear hunter

i traded in my 700 for a savage yesterday. took it out to start the break in process and everytime i shot it the drop plate on the magazine would come open. not a good thing. i am assuming this is a simple adjustment but i didn't have any tools with me at the time. it appears there is an allen wrench screw that perhaps i could tighten. does anyone know for sure? found nothing on it in the owners manual.

Yea I believe I've heard of this happening before if I remember it wasn't too much of a problem call savage and ask them they have good customer service or if all else fails take it too a gunsmith.

fixed on my own by simply tightening allen screw @ plate. actually turned the opposite direction than what i thought to tighten. savage did get back with me a couple of days after i emailed them and indicated what i should do however i had already completed it on my own. very simple and could have fixed on the range if i had had a set of allen wrenches with me.
