Shotshell Velocity Question
I' m more of a rifle buff so I don' t know too much about shotgun ballistics. I bought some shotshells yesterday (Remington ShurShot) Heavy Dove loads. They have the velocity written on the box. It' s somewhere around 1360. How does that compare with average low brass loads? It was only $2.98 a box so I really can' t be dissappointed no matter what. Thanks.

RE: Shotshell Velocity Question
The traditional 3 3/4 dram equiv 12 ga load with 1 1/4 Oz of shot was 1330 FPS.
They' re expensive today and for upland game the Remington 7/8 oz loads at the higher velocity in 7 1/2 shot works very well. I' ve taken many pheasants with them and I don' y know why I' d buy more expensive loads unless for Turkey.

RE: Shotshell Velocity Question
I bought 3 boxes. Only used 5 shells and lost one (fell out of my pocket while tying boot laces). They look like typical low brass but kick a little more. Maybe I' ll buy them out next time I' m at Wal-Mart.
