It's actually only 2 screws on the Savage (one of the trigger guard screws only holds the trigger guard on so you don't have to remove it), but as long as you get a stock made for that model, yes that's all there is to replace it. Some other guns use 2 or 3 screws, but I've also seen several that only use 1 screw. Removing the stock on a gun really is a 30 second job. There is nothing to it.
