Yup, Remmy action. All work done by Kampfeld Custom out of Michigan. The barrel is also spiral fluted

joemontana, you could have bought my heavy gun, that'd be the one to shoot across the canyon behind your house. but it sold already. hoping to go on a muley hunt next

a big .338, 'bout 13-15lbs, with a break should be the next one. IMO. you got two elk with your bow, i think now it's time to crack an elk from a little more distance than 7 yrds!!! your wsm i built for you is good for 'bout 400yrds, i'm thinking more like 800 to 900 with a big .338 across the mountain.

Jeepkid, I met Karl Kampfield at the Worlds Championship Groundhog match in Johnstown, PA. He is a heck of a nice guy and had a few nice rifles at the match to show and also compete with. Your gun looks real nice. Thanks for posing the picture

jeepkid, the big heavy is in 300wsm, throated for 210 bergers. with a 31" broughton tube, 63.5 grs of h4350 pushes 'em 3140fps. it's shot as small as .794" at 500 yrds, and 3.8" at a 1000yrds. both gunnermlr and i use the 300wsm and 6br for matches. this pic is from 2010 s dak. p-dog trip. trying to get one at 3261yrds. close but no kills. we've been at this quest for a couple of years. so far my longest confirmed is 2217yrds. enjoy

the blue gun is from 2009 also a 300wsm with 210's, trying for 3000+ yrd kill
the big guy in the pics also shoots a 300wsm
