I am looking into getting my daughter a rifle (a good starter), one that if she decides she no longer wants to hunt eventually I will not be out much money. I was thinking of getting her a Rossi Trifecta or a Pack 4. I have never owned a Rossi product and was curious if anyone has an openioin on there products.

I just looked at the Rossi website and saw what you must be calling the "Pack 4" ... it is listed among the "Matched set" products with the matched pairs and trifectas.
I can't remember where I read the reveiws I'm going to mention .. but... I heard that the trifecta's and some matched pairs had trouble shooting to the same point of impact when swiotching the barrels ...I can't clarify that b/c I don't know anyone personally who has told me this but I know I read it a couple of places.
I would check it out thuroughly though before I bought.
I also have been tempted to grab a trifecta finding the concept to be a real good buy .. but not if they don't shoot decently.
I have not heard anything negative about safety.

Looking at some reviews right now and I do see where there was some issue with the .243 being hard to pull in accuratly. I also see where some people found that changing the ammo made a big difference. I had that issue with a Savage 110 .243 I had a few years back and ended up getting rid of it rather then trying to find the right combination for the gun. I really wish I would have kept it and I would not be going to through the hassle of trying to find another .243 for my daughter. I am still not sure what I am going to do but I am deffinatly going to think about it lol.
