Default Benelli SBE II vs. Beretta Xtrema

I know this will probably start a fight but I have handled both of these today and liked both. Might be picking one or the other up tomorrow and not sure which yet. I know that everyone says go with the one that fits you best but honestly they both fit very well. So...let's hear why you would pick one over the other.
Thanks,
Tuck

Thats a tough one. My main hunting buddy shoots the beretta and it has performed flawless. And my duck hunting buddy shoots a SBEII and it performs flawless. Only thing I can comment on, is I like the feel of the berretta and has less recoil.

I own both, and prefer the Beretta. After having used both extensively over the past few seasons, the Beretta seems like it is the better gun, and I'd expect it to last longer. Both are reliable, I've gotten a bit better patterns on average from the Benelli, but the Beretta shoots softer and has never jammed. The SBE2 has had a few hiccups, especially with Kent shells.

Well in the end I went with the Benelli. After shouldering them both numerous times for several days at the gun counter the Benelli just pointed better and felt better in my hands. I would have liked see how that kick-off system felt in the Beretta but the gun just felt "too bulky" compared to the SBE.
Thanks for all of the replies and advice,
Tuck

Tuck,

Good luck & enjoy your new autoloader.

Shoot some heavy loads (I used/patterned turkey loads) to break-in your SBE II, so it can cycle the lightest loads well.

See this advice in manual.........................

All the best !
