Default Rossi Muzzleloader/.243

I posted a while ago about getting a new rifle. I think i am putting that back a year and getting this Rossi .50cal muzzleloader/ .243. Does anybody know about these guns. Are they accurate and reliable? http://www.rossiusa.com/ML-pair.html that is the website. Any information would be greatly appriciated. Thanks -Sam

I don' t know anything about the current incarnation of Rossi. I do know that in the past quality has been hit or miss but they are now under the Taurus umbrella. I can however recommend H&R for an inexpensive, reliable, interchangable barrel rifle. Take a look at www.hr1871.com

Well h&r doesn' t sell a muzzleloading/rilfe combo. Whats so bad about the rossi? Would bad things could i expect? So should i get the savage this year and get a muzzle loader next year? Any other suggestions.

They did last year. But you can buy any centerfire H&R/NEF rifle and send it back to the factory and get the muzzleloader barrel for $77. I haven' t shot a Rossi so I can' t speak to its accuracy or reliability. I can say that they look cheap, feel cheap and until I hear otherwise I will remain leary of them.
