Help w/ allen screw size?
I am trying to replace the recoil pad on my Ruger M77 Mark II, syn. (older zytel model) the one that has ruger cut into the stock. My question is, does anyone know what size allen wrench that fits it, or is it even an allen wrench. Any help or advice is appreciated. Thanks.

Most stock screws are phillips head. Not sure on the Ruger zytel stock but its worth a try. Can you see the screw head? Might be a torx head instead of an allen head. If you want to bring it over we can look at it.

Frizzellr,
Thanks for your help. I looked with a flashlight and the two butt stock screws were phillips heads. Do you have any experience with using the pachymar (sp) recoil pad. This is the pad that I recently replaced on my Ruger. Thanks.
