Barrel floating and bedding?
I am a lefty shopping for a new hunting rifle. The Ruger Hawkeye seems to have as many lefty caliber options as anyone. Is the ruger barrel floated or bedded and how important is that in a hunting rifle?

..........I don't understand what you are trying to say here....A barrel is either floated or has a pressure point(s)....one or the other. How could it have "neither features"??

The barrel on the Hawkeye is NOT factory floated. Ruger uses pressure points. The action is not bedded from the factory either. I'm looking at buying a Hawkeye myself and those will be the first alterations I make to it.
Very trim rifles. Fits me very well and points like a dream. Built like a tank.
