Guns Like firearms themselves, there's a wide variety of opinions on what's the best gun.

when adding a break, should you cut the barrel or just add it on?

StonerGuy,

But down the bowl, pipe whatever get out your trajectory table, don't forget to sober up and you'll see that your comment is completely wrong.

OMG!

One last thing, guns and drugs don't mix. If you ever get caught with them both in your possession it's a federal offense that carries minimum sentences and the judge has no say in the matter. He can only give you more time.

Good luck

Tom

Back to the post. There is no reason to shorten the barrel unless that is what you want to do. Porting can add anywhere from 0 to 2 or 3 inches to your barrel. If you want to keep the same barrel length and do not want to shorten your barrel to add a break then have the current barrel Mag-na-ported. That will not change the length at all, and still allow you to port your barrel.

Personally I do not have a problem with porting barrels. Some do-I do not. I like them on most of my rifles. For me the extra noise is better than the muzzle flip of a non-ported rifle. I do it more for control of muzzle flip, and less for recoil reduction. However to each his own. Tom.

i never said i needed a break to shoot. I asked if i should cut the barrel or leave it long. i am not askin advise on what gun to shoot, simply..cut or leave it long?
I answered your question and then I advised against it unless you are prepared to wear hearing protection in the field.

Did you bother to read this post?

Depends on if you want the same overall barrel length or if you are willing to put up with the added length of the brake. The brake will add about 1 - 2 inches of over all length to your barrel depending on what brake is installed. So, if you don't cut the barrel down and you have a 24" barrel right now you will end up with about a 26" barrel. If you want to keep the same over all length to your barrel then you would want to cut the barrel the length of the brake.

What cartridge is this rifle chambered for?

Before you add a brake to your rifle ask yourself if you are prepared to wear hearing protection in the field.

IMO if you need a brake to shoot a rifle then you are over gunned.

I'm not going to placate you 420, though your post was pretty much ridiculous.

When I pointed out the issue with the drugs, I was not assuming that you do drugs while hunting or handling firearms. I was talking about possession. Given that you so blatantly post your use of an illegal substance (that could easily be used against you in court) on the internet I assume that you are not aware of the laws surrounding possession of narcotics and guns at the same time. I was trying to point you in a direction that might keep you out of jail.

It appears that they have removed the ability to block a poster otherwise I would block all your future posts.

I will not post to this thread again. Good luck.
