RE: proper choke for rifled slug
firzz..
i habe tried rem sabot' s and have taken my bigest buck to date with them. but for my shots under 75yds i get the same accuracy with sabot' s as i do with rem and brenneke slugs.so i went with what is cheaper. i just can' t see spending $10.00 a box for ammo when $4.99 a box does the same trick and the same accuracy..

RE: proper choke for rifled slug
There isn' t a safety issue with shooting rifled slugs in a rifled barrel as far as I' ve ever seen. It' s more of an issue with what works best. For best results use sabot slugs in a rifled barrel. That doesn' t mean that is unsafe to use rifled slugs in a rifled barrel. It' s dirty, and not particuarly effecient but it does work just fine.
