looking for a 9mm or a 45
I will be buying a handgun in three weeks. I am looking at three a ruger p89th a berreta m9 or a glock 17 15round model.
I am up for any of the three but now leaning toward the glock. I had a p89dc great gun but i think i need to look at whats is best for my money vs what i had and just want again. If you dealers can give me a price shipped to my local ffl ofcoarse i want new in the box never fire unless i can get a heck of a deal for a very slightly used one. SO give me your best deal so i can buy from a fellow huntingnet.com hey guys i am thinking a glock in 45 also i think i really should jump to the 45 from the 9mm can not afford to shoot either and i figured about a cent or two diff in ammo cost.

If it is for self defense, .45 has far more stopping power. You MUST be vigilant in what is beyond your target, good high expansion hollowpoints help this, or Glaser Safety Slugs, but if you miss they penetrate walls very well.
The 9mm is much easier to conceal if that is an issue, again good hollowpoints help with terminal energy delivered, but it is till a smaller round. There is a reason all the troops are complaining, not about the Baretta, but the stopping power of the ammo. A .40 is a really good compromise. I carry a 1911 .45 concealed, if you have 10 or 20 extra pounds they conceal pretty well, especially with a good inside the waist band holster. Don't buy the uncle mikes stuff, spend some money on a good holster. It doesn't have to be $100, but for most people 15 isn't either. I have several cheap holsters lying around that just didn't work.
If you use a glock remember the primary safety is the double action trigger pull, always carry it in a holster, not tucked in the belt.
I love my 1911, but as with many of them it does not like hollowpoints, it was built for FMJ and that is what it likes.
