I'd try different ammo and see if you can get it grouping better...I'd also start at 25 and just shoot 3 rounds nice and slow and see if you can tighten up the group...

It as well as I like the Winchester Xpert ammo however, it's gotten to the point where it's really hard to find. All the Wal-Marts I've checked either no longer have it or have been sold out. I'm not having luck finding any and the few places I find it online are either really expensive or sold out or both. So I used the Federal value pack ammo I had this time. It shoots about the same spot as the Winchester and as long as I hold it still is accurate enough it just likes to stovepipe a lot. I was usually getting 2 stovepipes per 10 round magazine. It's a hassle but I don't want to waste what little Winchester ammo I have left since I don't know when I can get more and this Federal shoots pretty accurately as long as I hold it still.

I also like Wichester Xpert. It works very well on gophers -evenpast 100 yards.

I sight my 22LR for 100 yards. Be aware that groups from a 22LR will open up when the barrel heats up. This is one of the reasons why I use a target bull barrel designed to dissipate heat.

for most ammunition, a good zero is at 35-40 yards and you will also have the same POI at around 75-80 yards due to the .22lr's rainbow trajectory
