Is it safe to leave Hoppes 9 in your guns overnight?
Is it safe to leave Hoppes 9 in the barrel of your guns soaking overnight? Or is it a bad idea? If I don't have it fully clean should I let it soak or should I clean it out and start on it again tomorrow?

i wouldnt do it either....certain cleaners are strong enough to start eating at metal...that wouldnt be good...
not sure if hoppes 9 is...but it only takes a couple minutes to finish the job....

It's safe to leave Hoppe's #9 in your barrel overnight BUT it wouldn't make sense to me to do it because what if it leaks onto your stock, carpet, etc? Also it wouldn't do as good of a job as using AGRESSIVE copper cleaner such as Sweet's 7.62 as directed. If you want to be able to clean your barrel the lazy way, go with the Outer's Foul Out or Foul Out 2. It DOES work.
