Encore 209x50 setup
Have a 28inch 209x50 magnum encore barrel. Blue and fluted.
Black flextech foreend
silver luepold double dovetail base and rings
Simmons deerfield 3-9x32 scope. matte black
full box of Hornady 300gr XTP
partial box(at least 50) Hornady 240 gr xtp
over 100 harvester crushed rib sabots
partial box of Hornady sst's
Partial box Hornady FPB 350 gr.
Barrel shoots the 350 and 300 gr bullets into 2 inches or better at 100
yards.
Will shoot the 240s ok, but I didnt take the time to work up the optimum
load.
It likes 100 grains of Blackhorn 209 the best overall.
I killed a doe last october in Oklahoma with the 300xtp's and 100grs of BH 209
The barrel was left with a load of blackpowder in it, and suffered some
minor pitting. The pitting is isolated to where the powder charge sat for a
little too long. The rest of the barrel is clean.
I bought a Knight disc in 45 cal and really like how it shoots. Lost
interest in the 50 cal.
If you price all the stuff new, it would run you over $500.
I will sell it all for $275.00
If you get it and are not satisfied with the condition of the barrel, just
ship it back for a full refund. I will wait to cash the MO until I hear that
you would keep it.
Feel free to make a reasonable offer.
