Default 30mm rings

I going to buy a 30mm-tubed scope and need good rings. I don' t really want Leopold rings that have the front dove-tail base. Since the rifle I' ll be mounting accepts both Weaver as well as standard drill-tapped bases please tell me your favorites, including links if you please.

Have you looked at the Leupold quick release set up. I have a set of 30mm rings and was impressed with them. I like the idea that the scope can be removed. Good luck

I guess your not getting much responses. It’s not a popular size. Power, I' m curious what type of scope are you buying that requires 30mm rings?

Thanks trailer. I did check out those Leo. mounts/rings and they are pretty cool. Too bad they are $75. MIght still be an option though and they would be cool to have detachable scope for whatever reason.

I' m probably going to buy the Cabela' s Alaskan Guide 30mm scope, 4-12x50. Only $319 with limited lifetime warranty. Figure it' s worth trying them. That does NOT have an AO which I am trying to avoid yet still has the 12x magnification I want for the big open country here in E. Wa. where I hunt. With that combo I will get an exit pupil of 12 on the lowest setting while still a 4x magnification, and still retain a 4 on the max. mag.

Thanks Quilly. Do you recommend them? Do they make a 30mm set?

Power, I wish I would have paid $75.00 for the set. Up here the price for the set is nearly $200.00. That' s with the exchange. I like to remove my scope when I' m storing my gun. I find the scope get in the way in my gun safe...Sounds like your looking at a pretty good scope. Good luck in your purchase.

Thanks all. I' ll keep looking around and see what I can find. Those Leopold one' s might not be a bad way to go but I' ll keep an eye out on the Talley' s too and see how they rate.
