45ACP is not an ideal anti-bear round, but 8 of them fired in under 2 seconds is better than no gun at all!

If you want Black Talon, just get some Winchester Ranger SXT-they're EXACTLY same thing.

I probably would have bought that for the black talons haha. I want to get my hands on some pretty bad. I just can't justify spending what they are going for on gunbroker though. If I ever run across some at a okay deal I'm going to buy them just to display in m room. They just have a cool factor to them. Not sure I'd ever really shoot them.

They are a little different. An expanded bullet of the SXTdoes not have the same sharp TALONSas the Black Talon. The Black Talon bullet is an example of law enforcement and the public give more hype to something than what it can really do. The BT can be used by law enforcement, but not many agencies use them. IMO, there are severalrounds as good or better than the Black Talon for SD.

That's more why I want the Black Talons just to have Black Talons since they have the rep they do. I'd like to have the box too. I wouldn't buy them if they didn't come with a box. I just think it'd be cool to have something that just has all the hype they do. They seem to be one of the more popular bullets out there due to the fact that they are hard to get.
Don't the Ranger Law Enforcement ones have the talons but the regular SXT's the average consumer can get not have them? That's what I've read.

You're absolutely correct about that where country is wrong. The box has to say RANGER SXT, instead of sxt or some other label. The ranger sxt is still exact same bullet as black talon, just renamed.

I owned a Ruger P90 for many years and had zero complaints. I too replaced the grips with Hogue wrap around grips which I also liked. For the money Ruger does make a quality, reliable pistol.

Let me know how you like it for shooting. It made my RugerPolymer P Seriesinto a much better gun for accuracy and follow up shots - and the Hogue Handall is very inexpensive!
