Is Remington bringing back the 700 ADL? Our local Academy store has a bunch of them in, in an assortment of chamberings. It's got a newer style of synthetic stock on it. I've got a .30-06 and a .243, both with checkered stocks. These have the newer SPS style stock, and 24" barrels on non-magnums and 26" barrel on magnums. The boxes were clearly labeled "700 ADL". List price was $429, with a $40 mail in rebate.

Haven't heard anything from any manufacturers other than Ruger.
The ADL's could've been a special run specifically for that retailer.

I'm anxious to see what they have planned also.

I believe the ADL's they have at Academy are special run rifles. Such as, the ADL's with laminated stocks that are carried by Wal-Mart.

Unfortunately... Academy didn't have any 7mm-08's. I might have considered grabbing one. All they had were .243, .270, 7mm Rem. Mag., .30-06, and .308.

I have a 20yr old Rem ADL 30.06 that still shoots lights out and has killed more deer than i can remember. I doesn't see much action anymore because i use my Rem classic in 25.06 more these days. I just ordered a Rem SPS youth 243 for my daughter and i have no doubt it will be a shooter too.

Ok, I found out a few things coming frm Remington at SHOT. They're going to have a new pump action shotgun being called the 887NitroMagnum. The Model 700 VTR gets chambered in 221 Fireball and 243 also. More too but I didn't get the whole scoop.
