question on gun stocks
i jus recently bought a Berretta Pintail and it came with camo foregrip and buttstock and after huntiing in the slough a couple days the camo is cracking and a little piece fell off and it looks like there is finished wood beneath it... was it a plain wood gun when it was new and some some had a camo finish on it? what can i do about it? im at college and dont know where the nearest gunsmith is or who to ask. any help would be great. thanks

RE: question on gun stocks
Berettas are NOT inexpensive pieces. I'd contact Beretta and see what they say. If the stock was originally sold with the camo treatment, they should fix it for you. Unloaded long guns can be mailed to the makers for repair....

RE: question on gun stocks
I try not to ASSUME but you said you are in college so if money is tight I would just leave it alone and hunt with it until you have the cash to have it redipped in camo. The animals you kill don't care if the gun is peeling camo or not and it isn't going to make it shoot any better.
If you want it fixed right now send it to be redipped in new camo of your choice. An entire shotgun, metal and stocks, will run you $200 - $250.

RE: question on gun stocks
i just worry about the value of the gun because i bought it for $300 and later found out they are selling for $1200-$1500. if it dont get dipped promptly would the stock start to rot?
