Default boy that was fun

Well my friend has a old .22 rifle with iron sights.
We went to the range and did some shooting. There was a guy there about my age maybe alittle older.
He had a .22 savage bolt action with a scope and he let me shoot it some. It has been 10 years since i shot a .22 It was the first time i ever sit on a bench and shot to get the smallest group from a .22
It was fun as heck. I had been thinking of getting a .22 now i know i will soon i hope.
MIght tellmy parents to get me one for xmas.

There's a reason its the most popular caliber!! A few reasons, actually... cheap, not alot of kick, & fun as all get out!!

we did not even need ear plugs. and it had near no recoil.
WE shot for 3 hours and used like 3 bucks in ammo

I love getting out with my .22. I take the dogs for a walk and try to shoot about 50rds. before work. Sometimes I carry a piece of cardboard or a box with a target drawn on it. Sometimes I just shoot stumps and look for rock chucks. My Marlin has a near identical trigger pull/feel to my Vanguard 7mm.Rem.Mag. Great, cheap practice!

USE EAR PLUGS!! YES, even with a 22... You will be sorry when you get older if you don't!!

Glad you had fun, 22's are some of the most fun you will ever have with a firearm... Save up for a high quality 22, and it will last you the rest of your life...
