See-Through Rings for Ruger M77??
I love my Ruger. But I've always wished I could use the iron sights when in heavy cover, or 100 or less shots, or just for S&G'ns.
But I can't find See-Through Rings for Ruger M77anywhere!
Does anybody make them?
And is there any chance raising the scope that much will screw up the comfort level I now have with my old friend?
I accept that shouldering and putting the cheek to it will be different, but what about shooting accuracy with any see-through rings?
Oh yeah . . . stainless would be preferred.

Yeah I Googled (a lot), and went to Midway (hate their site, love their stuff/price).
And since posting this, I found some.

They also have them in silver, but a 30 day B/O.
But has any of yous guys used a see-through system?

I don't hunt with a rifle, but I used see-thru mountson my Dan Wesson SuperMag with a 1.5-4X Burris scope for years. Yes,it looked awkward, but it turned out that the mounts added a "halo" effect which made aligning the open sights easier. After a while it just became habit to use the open sights for shots up to 50 yards while leaving the scope set at 1.5X for longer shots; 4X was only used at the range. There have been afew deer that I would have had to pass on due to low-light/wet weatherconditions if I'd been limited to the scope only.

I have see through rings on both my Marlin 336 and 91 Mauser. I've taken a few deer with the open sights on the 30-30 and actually prefer shooting the open sights to the scope. I've never had any problems with either guns' mounts and I do agree with the "halo" effect the rings have on the iron sights - kinda neat really.

See through rings are one of the worst things known to man...Turn your power setting down to 3-4 power and learn to look through the scope with both eyes open, no need for see throughs, it destroys the good cheek weld needed for accurate shooting as well...

I have the same rings on my 30-30 but I haven't even thought of putting them on one of my ruger's....I don't know for sure if they will mount or not.. I know my 270 will shoot almost the same at 25yds as it will at 100yds..I never thought of putting them on that rifle, I have shot deer within 50yds and I just turned the scope all the way down to 3X and harvested my animal....
