Pre 64"s are going around $1200.00 to $1400.00 these day. Jump on it. My hunting partner has a Pre 64 in 300 H&H and I have a Remington model 721 in 300H&H.Mine has a Lyman 4x on it.

eldeguello, would you think this rifle is worth a grand market value?(Which that does not matter to me if I like something).LOL wish I could find a lyman that would be to cool.I know I am going to buy this gun anyway I am just trying to get you guy's to talk me into it.

If yoiu can buy it for a grand you need to do so before the seller comes to his senses. YOu wouldn't be buying it from me for that price.

Well, since that gun would easily go for $3500-$4000 if it were a Super Grade made that same year, I would say that 1K is a bargain .......

Depending on condition, of course!

I have seen Lyman Alaskans for sale on e-bay from time to time. AND, New England Custom Guns still sells the Jaeger sidemounts! Also, Griffin & Howe mounts are classic as well on that rifle. Blow me dawn! There's FIVVE of 'em on e-bay right now!! http://cgi.ebay.com/LYMAN-ALASKAN-ALL-WEATHER-2-1-2-POWER-SCOPE_W0QQitemZ140222299318QQihZ004QQcategoryZ3171 4QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
