Default S&W 1000 SemiAuto Shotgun - Good/Bad?

I'm looking for the good and the bad about an S&W 1000 semiauto shotgun 12 gauge. It is about 20 years old. I need a semiauto 12 gauge for upland bird hunting and can get one cheaply in great condition. Should I do it? Let me know your opinions if you have shot one, own one, or heard anything about it.

Default RE: S&W 1000 SemiAuto Shotgun - Good/Bad?

I had one and I bought it new for 150 bucks and it was built by HOWA unless I am totally incorrect. Between that Shotgun and my Brittany I killed a truckload of pheasants and quail .I wish I still had it but no I had to trade it for a Browning 2000[:@] . Only problem you may have is parts but I think E-gunparts has parts for them. It is a good shotgun
