My leupold scope matches the ss barrell fairly well on my 700. The leupold bases are waaaaaayyyy off.

Like others have already said the black matte is the way to go. Anodized aluminum scopes are never going to match the 400 series of stainless used in firearms regardless of the type of finish ie. bead blasted, polished , course matte (Rem SPS) Black is always fashionable
