RE: long range target rifle
I have been using a Sako TRG 42 in 338 Lapua, it a nice rifle and would reccomend them if cost isnt a factor and the other one would be an Accuracy International. Both can be had in the Lapua and also the mild mannered 308 Win.

Accuracy International does make really nice rifles. I have shot their .338 Lapua, and all I can say is WOW. If it wasn't so expensive I would have one. I think that their rifles start around 6000 or so, but I think that is for their .308. THe TRG's are good as well, no experience shooting them, just reputation as well. Cost of shooting a .338 LM is about $4 - $5 a round for factory ammo, and about $1 - $1.25 if you handload.
